This year we decided to support one of the 2016 London Marathon runners in a literal way – by donating the sports bra she ran in!
Karen Lewing, aged 42 from Barbourne, Worcester, ran her first marathon in London on the 24th April to raise funds for the charity MIND. Karen is a keen runner and, like us, is a member of Training for Warriors, Shrub Hill Industrial Estate, Worcester.
A few months ago, Karen sought sports bra advice from us and we recommended the Anita Momentum 5529 Maximum Support bra, which is one that we have tried and tested personally.
After trying the bra out on a couple of training runs, Karen was delighted with it. She went on to complete the marathon in 3 hours 51 minutes which is an amazing time for any runner, let alone a first time marathon runner.
Karen said “I needed a really good sports bra to wear for the Marathon and I was delighted when Paula and Lisa offered to sponsor me by donating one. All the funds I have raised will go to a charity that I am passionate about”
